I do academic research and teaching, as well as consulting and executive coaching on a variety of concepts and skills associated with strategic leadership. I currently serve on three editorial review boards for prominent management journals (Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, and Journal of World Business) as well as serve on the advisory board for the journal known as Corporate Governance: An International Review (CGIR). I was the editor-in-chief of CGIR from 2007-2012.
I have published three books, and over one hundred articles on various topics associated with strategic leadership. Please go to my Publications page for further details on these contributions. I have garnered six different teaching awards over my career teaching undergraduates, MBAs, doctoral students, and executives. I have chaired 15 different doctoral dissertations, and helped to place over 30 different doctoral students in academic positions.
I developed a popular teaching tool published by Harvard Business Publishing entitled, Change Management Simulation: Power and Influence. Released in 2010, it is currently in its second version. This single-player online simulation teaches current and future change agents to think about and executive an organization-wide change initiative in four different contexts.
